Plant Testing
There are two options when we consider plant testing.
The first is a "sap" test; this useful analysis allows us to detect potential problems before they happen. Our Ask The Plant® program allows the grower to take corrective action seven to 10 days before permanent plant damage occurs. This type of test is excellent for diagnosing nutritional problems and making fertilizer adjustments as the plant is growing. It is best to start testing early on.
The second type is a tissue test, an excellent measure of how the plant did at the end of the season. Think of it as a post-mortem test. Professional growers use this type of test to evaluate their fertility program and make adjustments for the following season.
